Happy Anniversary, Jogo!
In honor of our first anniversary, I thought I’d post the email that got it all started:

Jogo looks like an awesome alternative to traditional fitness clubs (rows of machines), but it’s not entirely clear from the website who your target audience is. There appear to be no out of shape/overweight people in any of your picks. Now, that may just be coincidence or it may be because you guys are so successful that nobody you train stays out of shape for long ;). The other possibility is that Jogo is more focused on performance improvement for people who are already generally in halfway decent shape. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out which of the three makes the most sense from the website.
As for myself, I’m a 6’ 2” male weighing in at a fairly hefty 260 lbs. I’m not sedentary. I’ve trained for and run a marathon (slowly) or half-marathon 2 of the last 3 years and am doing so again this year, but I’d like something a little broader than running and I definitely benefit from the accountability provided by an organized, group setting.
Based on that tiny bit of info, would someone fitting my profile be a good fit at Jogo?
Thanks,
Cameron
Emilie of course, wrote me back and I stepped into Jogo on Ohio for the first time on May 12th, 2008. There was no BaseCamp back then, so a new person just showed up and got tossed into the fray (albeit, with scaled weights and amounts of work).
Thanks to Emilie, her crew and all my fellow Jogoers for a great 1st year!
